Brian, The game looked great. Glad you had a good time with it. I was very excited over this game system in June of 2021. I wanted to do a Harvest/Pumpkin Army. Since the club had an Old Gory Army membership, I thought that this would be a great project for the club. Old Glory sold the minis but they did not come up as discounted for Old Glory Army members. I had called Teresa at Old Glory and asked about this. She told me that the figures are NOT included in 40% deal. These figures are expensive; $150 for a brigade and ~$460 for an army of lead is too much. I was bummed out and haven't looked at them since. If this has changed, then I am looking at the "War to Save Yule"!!

Phil, I played Rapid Fire for over 10 years. We had great games with these rules. But We played them out! Right now Bolt Action is my cup of tea!

I like the “realistic” terrain. It reminds me of the first Wargames tables made by Brig. Peter Young in England In the early ‘60’s. But at that time it was called a “sand table”. I once played an AWI game with 54mm figs on a sand table in Princeton many years ago. I think it’s refreshing that you are rediscovering this wargame method. Btw - love your craters! JohnS

Thanks Tim. The figures are based on the Vampire Wars rules by West Wind games. The rules and figures are available from Old Glory. The rules as written are ponderous at best. I have been modifying these rules for 20 years! But each time the mechanism did not give the right ‘feel’. Finally, I decided to convert them to the Erewhon system and voila! They work superbly. However the converted rules are very rough around the edges so they need to be playtested. Interested?

Excellent looking game with fine figures on both sides and very interesting terrain. The Concord and Isorians really looks great. The figures used in this system sold me on the game. I really like the idea of unit cards because it would reduce the page turning in the rule book. Congrats on a beautiful and well-played game!
